Before Your VisitEverything You Need to Know
First appointment? Read this and you will walk in knowing exactly what happens. Nothing here is complicated — it just makes the wax work better and the skin behave afterward.
Helpful Guidelines
Before Your Wax
- Hair lengthAbout a quarter inch, or two to three weeks of growth. Longer is fine — too short cannot be waxed and the appointment will be cut short.
- Don’t shaveShaving between appointments resets your growth cycle and makes the next wax harder and more uncomfortable.
- Clean skinShower beforehand. Skip lotion, oil and self-tanner on the day of your appointment.
- ExfoliateGently, 24 to 48 hours before — not the same day.
- TimingSkin is more sensitive just before and during your period. Mid-cycle is the most comfortable window if you have flexibility.
- WearLoose, comfortable clothing, especially for bikini and Brazilian appointments.
Helpful Guidelines
After Your Wax
- First 24 hrsNo hot tubs, saunas, pools or intense workouts. Heat and sweat irritate freshly waxed skin.
- 24-48 hrsAvoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds.
- Keep it looseBreathable, loose clothing for the rest of the day. Avoid heavy friction.
- Hands offSkip fragranced lotions and scrubs for 48 hours.
- IngrownsResume gentle exfoliation on day three and keep it up about twice a week.
- RebookEvery four to six weeks keeps your growth on one cycle — that is the point where waxing gets easy.
Questions
Good to Know
Does it hurt?
There is a sting, and it is brief. Hard wax is used on the bikini, Brazilian, underarm and face areas because it grips the hair rather than the skin, which makes a real difference. The first appointment is the most sensitive one; by the third, most people barely flinch.
How long does a Brazilian take?
Plan on about 30 to 45 minutes for a first visit, including the walk-through. Regular appointments run shorter.
Can I get waxed on my period?
Yes — just wear a fresh tampon or cup. Skin tends to be more sensitive, so if you have flexibility, mid-cycle is a little more comfortable.
Is the wax double-dipped?
Never. A fresh applicator is used for every pass, every time.
What if I am using a retinoid or acne medication?
Mention it when you book. Retinoids, tretinoin, Accutane and some acne treatments make skin lift during waxing, so the area may need to be skipped or the appointment rescheduled.
How often should I come back?
Every four to six weeks. Sticking to that schedule is what gets hair growing back finer and more sparsely over time.

For the Best Experience
Please shower beforehand
Arrive fresh and clean for your service. Cleansing wipes are available in the studio if you are coming straight from work.
Running late
Text as soon as you know. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled so the next client is not pushed back.
Guests
The studio is a single private room, so appointments are one-on-one. Please come solo unless you have arranged otherwise.
Health & skin
Let us know about retinoids, acne medication, recent sunburn or a skin condition in the area before you book — a few things make waxing unsafe that week.
